Linda began her career in insurance in 1968. She held various positions as typist, customer service rep, underwriter, sales representative, and finally agency owner. In her over 50 years she has owned three agencies and partnered with four individuals to start scratch agencies in various cities.

Her greatest love is teaching insurance. She taught both agents and life courses at CFCC for 23 years and also taught for Florida Association of Agents for their CPIW courses and Project Invest in the high schools. She served on their education committee for over 15 years.

In 1993 Linda sold her agency to Barnett Bank which resulted in a landmark Supreme Court decision giving banks the right to solicit insurance. She served as National Sales Director for Hartford Insurance and traveled the nation teaching banks how to sell insurance. In addition, she worked for Staff Leasing as their President of Insurance where she learned the many facets of the employee leasing industry.

On a personal note, Linda has been married to Dale for over 40 years and has two daughters; Alicia and Melanie, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Linda and Dale are currently semi-retired, splitting their time between Ocala, FL and Franklin, NC. Offices are set up in both residences to stay in touch with her agencies and insureds.

In her free time, Linda's hobbies include stained glass, gardening, camping, and home renovation projects. She also volunteers through programs for the homeless and humane society.

Austin started with Clifford Insurance his senior year at Belleview High School in 2010. His primary focus is the day-to-day operations of the agency. In 2018 he became co-owner alongside his grandmother Linda Clifford. He is blessed to be able to work alongside his grandmother, mother, sister and aunt along with all the other extraordinary employees that make Clifford Insurance so special.

In his free time he enjoys playing golf and fishing but mostly relaxing at his home in Ocala and spending time with his beautiful wife Jenna and his two sons Grayson & Rylan.

Alicia has been in the insurance industry for 38 years (a little more if you count her working in the summer while in middle and high school). She is proud to have raised 4 beautiful, loving, and strong children. She is blessed with 10 grandchildren. 

Her interests include riding her Harley Davidson motorcycles, music, camping, paddleboarding, target shooting, going to the lake and beach, collecting revolver guns, spending time with family, eating Bar-B-Q and watching western movies. 

What she likes most about insurance is the passion to educate people on the importance of insuring their assets against possible lawsuits and/or protection from a loss. She is proud that the agency is now 3 generations strong - carrying the legacy that Linda Clifford, her mother, has built for the family!

Margaret's career in the insurance industry began in 1970 with her first job at Crow's Insurance in Belleview. Within the first year she was trained to quote auto insurance and mobile home insurance. In 1977 she successfully passed the insurance licensing exam for the State of Florida and became a licensed agent. 

The past 50 years have been an adventure through personal lines, commercial lines, and teaching this fascinating business. Spending time with her family and friends is how she spends her leisure hours.

My insurance career began in 1991. Starting out as a 4-40/CSR (Customer Service Rep) to eventually obtaining my 2-20 Agents License in 2003. I began working here at Clifford Insurance in June of 2022.  I’ve worked at a few different agencies over the years, all within Marion County with my most recent for over 20 years. I happily chose to leave the “corporate” world and come work with family here at Clifford Insurance. My specialty and passion are Personal Lines. That is where I have been for my entire 30 plus year career.

I strive to be the best agent/person I can by treating everyone with kindness and understanding. I’m proud to have been born and raised right here in Ocala/Marion County (as were my parents and grandparents).

My life outside of the insurance world is all about my beautiful children. I am one Blessed and proud mama to my two adult children. I have a son, Steavin and a daughter, Gianni. They are just everything that is right in this world!

My weekends are currently consumed with watching my daughter play college softball. There is nothing I would rather be doing than watching her play ball. When time allows, I get to squeeze in my other passions like watching my Tampa Bay Rays baseball games and of course any UF football, baseball, or softball games…….GOOOO  G A T O R S!!

Debbie started in the insurance industry in 1976 in Personal Lines. Fast forward 15 years and she made the switch to Commercial Lines. After a career spanning over 40 years, she retired in 2019. Not one to sit still, Debbie joined Clifford Insurance in August of 2021. You can find her back in Commercial Lines working part-time. 

Ben Meadows has been assisting commercial clients with their insurance needs since 2022. He grew up in West Virginia and joined the military at just 17 years old. After being discharged from the Army, Ben moved to Florida in 1994 and continued his service with the Florida National Guard. His military background helped shape the strong work ethic and commitment to service that he brings to his clients every day.

Ben joined the team at Clifford Insurance Center in 2024 and quickly grew to appreciate the family environment and the agency’s dedication to taking care of clients the right way. He enjoys working with business owners and helping them understand their insurance so they can protect what they’ve worked hard to build.

Ben is the proud father of four children—three of whom have already ventured out on their own, while one is still at home. He is also a big dog lover and has two dogs that he thinks the world of: a 6-year-old Rough Collie and a 2-year-old Labrador and Pit Bull mix.

Outside of the office, Ben proudly embraces his inner tech nerd. He enjoys gaming and keeping up with technology whenever he gets the chance. What he enjoys most about working in insurance is helping business owners navigate complicated coverage decisions and making sure they feel confident that their businesses are properly protected.
